Message for $5,600 bone stock. The guy listing it didn't understand the dynamics of ebay, and not to mention it ended on like a tuesday if I recall...so there wasn't much heat on it. You are less likely to find that price though, so I wouldn't be "discouraged" if the one you are looking at is a couple K more. It has been "reliable", but I've had leaky/burst radiator hoses, the 120K service needs to be finished (thorough is key, not cheaping out), injectors will need to be preemptively replaced (again, thorough is key, not cheaping out - 300D, new nismo, etc.). Boost leaks occurring, fuel lines will obviously need to go also, spark plugs replacement, CAS had to be replaced, the wing in the back is lifting/"rotting", front lip smashed to hell until JDM fascia replacement, and gosh, a few other things that for the life of me I cant recall. Oh yeah, HP Power Steering hose leaking, the subsequent failure of my alternator that will inevitably result from the prior affliction, U-joint for the driveshaft causing small vibes, a slight grind in 4th gear during really hard boost, coil pack connectors break, in fact ANYTHING plastic connector breaks ...well we will stop there, you get the point. Most of this stuff can be worked around, but it is just a band-aid until it fails all the way.

It sounds like a lot, but ask anyone here and they will tell you that even beyond the things I listed, there is a plethora of items that will fail at this mileage. The main thing you can do is budget for it and do what you can to attack first (i.e. EGR issues, PRVR leaks, bypass during plenum pull, etc.). And of course, when you go after one problem, you MIGHT AS WELL fix everything in the area, because it will fail and you will be pissed you didn't get it while you were in there.

Bottom line - this is not the appropriate mileage to buy as a DD IMHO unless a LOT of paperwork-backed maintenance was done. Also, those buying a few ten-thousand mileage shy should still be aware of what they are realistically going to be encountering.

This of course, is not to discourage you ;)

I've had my ups and downs, but the knowledge I am gaining paired with how fun this car is/looks it gets cannot be replaced. I have settled on staying in the game.

Did I mention I have a DD?
